Highlights Of Laugh It Off 2017.

The Holy Hill Assemblies of God at Kwame Nkrumah Circle was the venue of attraction on Sunday January 29th as Footprint TV and the Bishop of comedy, Parrot Mouth put together yet another edition of Laugh It Off to entertain the people of God through music and comedy. Lite Gh your entertainment and inspiration hub was there and we bring you a fairly comprehensive review of the event.
Here are exclusive pictures and and details of the program.

Praise session

Choreography

The auditorium was full to capacity and the audience was predominantly female. One would argue that was as a result of the fact that the Black Stars of Ghana were in action at the AFCONs around that same time but the point worth taking note of is that the event was highly patronised.
The program kicked off around 4pm with a worship and praise session that set the tone for the entire program. Attendees brought their dance skills to bare as they moved and groved to the melodious tunes produced by the praises team.

There were a couple of choreography performances from different groups who dazzled the audience with their interesting choice of costumes and make-ups as well as their wonderful delivery on stage. The messages they wished to convey were laid forth  precisely and with passion. The audience connected with the ministrations and loudly applauded all the acts. It was indeed, a spirit filled experience.

The "empress" of the gospel music industry Gifty Osei as well worshiper extraordinaire Francis Amo also passed through to minister. Minister Nyameba Asamoah and others did not also flatter to deceive. Urban gospel acts like Lil Zig and Kobby Psalm also took turns to entertain the audience. However Kingzkid who was also billed to perform did not show up for reasons unknown to us at the moment.

E-laff - comedian

Khemikal - comedian

Then to the main business of the day, comedy. Prior to this event I had never heard of comedians like E-laff and Pararan but after the performances they exhibited, I can confidently say that their names have a permanent spot in my memory.
Pararan as the MC was on point and E-Laff caused a massive downpour of laughter in the auditorium. His performance was spot on to the extent that when the next performer was ushered in right after him, many thought he was going to bore the audience. Rising Urban gospel act Kobby Diamond who was seated right next to me were one of those people who feared for the next act. As a performer himself, Kobby knew what a herculean task it was to be called on stage under such circumstance. You are either exceptional or woeful. There's no middle ground.

Kobby whispered,

"It is always extremely difficult to please the audience right after a performance like this."

But I quickly pointed it out to him that the next act Khemikal, would be equal to the task and indeed, he was. He entertained the audience in the fully packed auditorium thoroughly to the extent that everyone felt he should have been given more time at the end of his performance.

OB - comedian

Comedian OB was also at his very best. He thrilled the audience with joke after joke and we all could not help but yearn for more as in the case of Khemikal. These two are the future if Gh comedy.

All said and done it was a great showpiece though acts like Kingzkid, Jacinta and Hogan who were all billed to mount the stage failed to show up. Also, other side attractions like Swagcity, Psalm One, Kobby Diamond and a few others couldn't minister due to time factor.

Kudos to Parrot Mouth, Footprint TV and Holy Hill Assemblies of God for putting together something that great for free. It doesn't happen often.
