[Press Release] Tertiary Music Awards Board Under New Management.
After weeks of continous meetings and deliberations, Lite GH, the official mouthpiece of the Tertiary Music Awards (TERMA) can finally confirm that the old board has been dissolved and replaced by a new one consisting of seven(7) top notch industry names whose identities will be revealed soon.
Speaking to our reporter, the board chairman disclosed that new board is in to revamp the awards scheme and restore confidence into the system.
"We want to thank the outgoing board for such a good initiative and the progress so far but I must add that there have been a lot of mistakes. However, they were quite inexperienced and should be forgiven for their errors. We the new board wish them all the best.
We are here to make sure that the first edition of this scheme sets the bar for ones to come in the years ahead and also distinguish the brand from all others" He revealed.
He added that the board has unanimously decided to put together a nominees jam on the proposed date for the main event (16th September 2017) to serve as a teaser for the main event which has been shifted to a latter date but still in the month of September. The actual date he said, will be communicated to the general public before close of the week.
"Our main focus right now is the nominees jam. We feel the nominees thouroughly deserve it and it will also give us ample time to plan the main event very well. In fact, the venue for the nominees jam has already been secured. It will take place in the plush 7th Heaven night club inside the Tenko Plaza Hotel in East Legon, near American House.
We must add that the financial standings of the organisation is not in the best of shapes. The old board did everything out of their own pockets because of the lack of sponsors. It is the first edition so such challenges are bound to happen. The new board is determined to make things work.
We also proposed that fans and the party lovers pay Ghc10 at the gates. Let's all join hands and make the nominees jam a success.
It will be a night for the nominees as they display their talents on stage in front of all.
The performances that night we are told is going to serve as a yardstick to choose nominees who will mount the stage during the main event.
There will be lots of music and entertainment. No one should be left out!
